I’m the news editor of Physics World and did a PhD in condensed-matter physics at the Max Planck Institute of Solid-State Physics in Stuttgart, Germany. Running the Quanta section of Physics World – featuring amusing stories from the world of physics – I never pass up the chance to blog about quirky stories such as the latest physics-based rap or a strange research finding (think IgNobel). Every now and then I also touch on the more serious issues in physics such as the latest big-science news or my travels to conferences and research labs.
